Wynn was born in Connecticut and raised in New York. He started his career by taking over his family business, and whatever he earned from it; he invested in a small stake for the Frontier Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Between 1968 and 1972, he owned a liquor and wine importing company. He acquired interests in many casinos and hotels. In 1989, he opened ‘The Mirage’, which was his first major Strip casino. In 2012, Jeff Koon’s Tulips was acquired by Wynn Resorts for $33.6 million, under the direction of Wynn.
