Lindsey Vonn was born on October 18, 1984, in St. Paul, Minnesota. She attended the University of Missouri High School. She was brought up in the Twin Cities metropolitan area in Burnsville. At a very young age of two, she was on skis. At the age of 15, she won Italy’s Trofeo Topolino. In 2002, at the age of 17, she made her Olympic debut. On September 29, 2007, she tied the nuptial knot with Thomas Vonn, a former US Ski Team athlete, and 2002 Olympian. The marriage ceremony took place at the Silver Lake Lodge in Deer Valley, Utah. After serving four years of marriage, the couple decided to get separated. They had no children. The divorce shattered the personal life of Lindsey.

On one hand, it was the best time of her career, when she was enjoying her first Gold Medal. But, on the other hand, she was secretly veiling her marriage, which was on the verge to collapse. She mentioned to the audiences that, “Everyone saw me on TV, or read articles, and it was all about my great marriage, the white picket fence, all this success and my perfect life. But behind the scenes, it was a struggle.” In 2011, the couple announced their unfortunate separation as the things didn’t work between them. During her harder times, she managed to win two Olympic medals, and it was beyond her imagination. She said, “Divorce doesn’t fit my cookie-cutter image. But I got to the point where I said, “I don’t care if I ever win another race; I just can’t live like this.”’

Before this, she faced the hard time when her parents were divorcing. She suffered from depression. Instead of getting the treatment, she pushed herself to skiing. Her passion towards skiing made her relaxed and tense-free. At the time of her divorce, she felt hopeless and found herself “a different person”.

On January 9, 2013, their divorce was finalized. After the divorce, she wished to use her ex-husband’s surname. It was not known that how the couple would distribute the fortune, but Lindsey would keep her luxurious mansion worth of $1.1 million, located in Park City, Utah.

After getting officially divorced, she started dating Tiger Woods, one of the richest golfers. She accompanied him on his tours and various events. In March 2013, they publicly announced their relationship.
