Kidd Kraddick was born on August 22, 1959, in Napoleon, Ohio. He was brought up in Dunedin, Florida. He attended one semester from the University of Miami and dropped out to focus his career in broadcasting. He started his career in Tampa. He got his first radio position in Tampa. During his initial career, he struggled at Fresno, Miami, Los Angeles (KHTZ), Florida, California (KYNO-FM), and Salt Lake City (KAYAK & KLRZ). He also worked as an emcee at various comedy clubs.
In 1984, he moved to Dallas where he adopted night shift on the radio station KEGL (The Eagle). In 1992, he left KEGL radio. Then, he was signed up by KHKS-106.1 “Kiss- FM” in Dallas-Fort Worth.
In 2001, he started syndicating the show and made efforts to establish his own studio in Las Colinas. Soon, he became the member of the Texas Radio Hall of Fame.
