He became the president of the National Olympic Committee. In 2003, he was elected to the position of Prime Minister. After the sudden illness of his father, he was appointed to replace his father. Fortunately, he won the election held in 2003, with 76.84% votes. According to Transparency International, his government has been titled as one of the most corrupt in the world.
