Bob was born to a Brazilian mother and a Swedish-American father in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on October 10, 1976. He started skateboarding at a very early age of 11 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. When he grew up, he went to North America. As a skateboarder, he is well-known for his innovative vert tricks. He is regarded for his signature skateboarding trick “one-footed smith grind”. He gained second position at the 2001 X-Games, with a score of 98. In 2005, he was the Gold medal recipient at the X-Games Best Trick Vertical Ramp Contest. Throughout his career, he won 26 medals in 52 events.
