The American business tycoon, Bill Gates, is the chairman of the world’s largest software company, Microsoft Corporation. This second wealthiest person of the world is fond of collecting luxurious cars. He was fascinated by the German manufactured car, “Porsche”. But, the problem was that these groovy cars had no authorization from the Environmental Protection Agency or the Department of Transportation. Hence, these Porsches were stored in the customs office at the Port of Seattle. In 1999, with the signature of Bill Clinton on the rule of “Show and Display”, the expensive cars were exempted from the government crash and safety regulations. This made Bill, the owner of a super car, Porsche 959.

Bill Gates, the self-made billionaire, owned this car for $225,000. Porsche 959 is one of the most technologically advanced sports cars, ever introduced. This car was introduced as a Group B rally car. Later, it was legally designed and produced. In 2004, Sports Car International magazine placed Porsche 959 on the top of the list of “The Top Sports Cars Of 1980’s”. It was titled “The World’s Fastest Street-Legal Production Car”. It is featured with a top speed of 195 miles per hour, which can reach 60 miles per hour in less than 3.7 seconds. This made it “World’s Fastest Car”. It is a two-door coupe with full safety roll cage and racing seat belts. It is one of the high-performance vehicles with all-wheel drive. The current value of this car has risen to $500,000 as its successor, Porsche GT1, has been running fast on roads.

Apart from this super car, Bill Gates also owns other Porsches, including “Porsche 911” and “Porsche 930”.
